Follow a link to read more, or just call and a guide will talk it through. Would you rather write? Send a note further down and we will reply by email.

How do I get there, and can you arrange a pickup?
Fly into Sofia, or the smaller Plovdiv airport, then it is about a four-hour drive through Plovdiv and Smolyan. You do not have to drive it yourself: tell us your arrival details and a guide can collect you from the airport, Smolyan, or your guesthouse. There is more on the Plan Your Trip page.
Which guided day tour is right for me?
There are three one-day programs, each pairing an undeveloped cave with a boat trip through the Gorlo Canyon, the Kiselchovo waterfalls, or the panoramic platforms. Tell us your group and how active you want to be and we will point you to the one that fits, or compare them on the Day Tours page.
Where can I stay in the village?
Mogilitsa and the villages around it have small, family-run guesthouses rather than hotels, with home cooking and hosts who often know the trails as well as the guides. Tell us your dates and group and we will suggest places that suit, from a simple village room to a whole house.
When is the best time to come?
Late spring to autumn is the sweet spot: full rivers and wildflowers in spring, easy walking and cool air in summer, and clear, quiet, colourful days in autumn. Caves and villages are fine year round. We can help you match the season to what you want to do, and there is a fuller guide to the seasons here.
Can I visit the Agushevi Konatsi?
Yes. The Agushevi Konatsi, a large fortified 19th-century mansion near Mogilitsa, can be visited by prior arrangement. We can help you fit it into your days and tell you what to expect.
I am not sure where to start.
That is completely fine, and honestly the message we get most. Tell us roughly when you might come and what you enjoy, hard walking or slow days, caves or long views, history or quiet, and we will shape a trip around you. If it helps, we wrote about five very different kinds of trip in one village.
